Plywood

All plywoods bind resin and wood fibre sheets (cellulose cells are long, strong and thin) to form a composite material. This alternation of the grain is called cross-graining and has several important benefits: it reduces the tendency of wood to split when nailed at the edges; it reduces expansion and shrinkage, providing improved dimensional stability; and it makes the strength of the panel consistent across all directions. There is usually an odd number of plies, so that the sheet is balanced—this reduces warping. Because plywood is bonded with grains running against one another and with an odd number of composite parts, it has high stiffness perpendicular to the grain direction of the surface ply.

Flush Doors

We’ve talked about all sorts of doors – acoustic doors, steel doors, fire doors – and we’ve even talked about some of the most beautiful doors in the world! We’re now moving onto a different type of door (although there can be overlaps!) – the flush door. Let’s take a look at what they are.
Flush doors may have a solid, hollow or stave core. If the core is solid – low density particle board or foam often being used to fill the space within the door completely – it may be supplemented with a type of laminate or plywood on each side. Good for exterior doors as they provide more insulation and strength.

Laminates

PVC Marble sheets

PVC marble sheet, also named PVC sheet, PVC marble, PVC marble panel. It is mainly made from stone powder ( calcium carbonate powder ) and plastic ( PVC resin ),  so it should be technically called Stone Plastic Composite marble sheet, shorted as SPC marble sheet or SPC marble panel. Other names are also often used, like PVC imitation marble panel, PVC artificial marble panel, faux marble panel, PVC marble board, UV marble panel, UV marble board, UV panel, PVC sheet, etc.

Leather Laminates

The high-quality leather laminate sheets can be used for various types of partitions, shutters, doors, furniture surfacing/resurfacing and other woodworks in corporate offices, retail stores and malls, hospitality environments and educational institutions.

Acrylic Laminates

Acrylic sheets are available in a wide range of colours and are pasted on the MDF board and sealed with a protective layer to give a seamless finish. The end result is a highly reflective surface with a mirror-like sheen that retains its colour and brightness over the years.

PVC Laminates

uPVC

uPVC or PVCu is a form of plastic and stands for Unplasticised Poly Vinyl Chloride. It is a long-lasting building material often used for window frames as a substitute for painted wood. It is also known as rigid PVC due to the fact that it is hard and not flexible

Cemented Board

Cement boards are sheets made of cement and fibers containing cellulose. The primary purpose of cement boards is to serve as backing for tile and is superior to paper-covered gypsum at this task because of its resistance to water – as tile is typically used in areas prone to water exposure, it is important to have a backing that will not develop mold and mildew or disintegrate after prolonged exposure to moisture. Cement board is heavy, and usually requires two people to lift and move. It can only be cut using a carbide-tipped blade, which can produce a lot of dust and is best done in a well ventilated workshop area.

WPC/PVC Board

WPC is a hybrid composite material noted for its molding ability to any shape and size. It is primarily composed of plastic fiber and natural wood. WPC manufacturers in India confirm addition of sawdust, wood flour, bamboo, peanut hulls, pulp, and unused woodworking materials in the same.
PVC is a durable long lasting material widely used in the building, transport, packaging, electrical and healthcare sector for its versatile usability. Its wide popularity and acceptance are due to its fire and water resistance ability. Colored PVC board is presently being used as a substitute for wood, metal, glass, concrete, and clay in many applications.

Cemented Board

Corian is a brand of solid surface material created by DuPont. Its primary use is as a countertop and benchtop surface, though it has many other applications. It is composed of acrylic polymer and alumina trihydrate (ATH), a material derived from bauxite ore. Corian is the original material of this type, created by DuPont scientists in 1967.[1] A number of direct solid surface competitors to Corian have emerged since the expiration of DuPont’s patent on solid surfaces.

Green Grass

Referred to as a grass carpet or area rug, grass carpet mats are outdoor carpets that are used to imitate a grassy lawn in both colour and texture. In order to achieve close resemblance with a natural garden, these mats are made with thousands of thin strips of green-coloured plastic. As such carpets require low maintenance and can withstand both frequent and rough use, they are considered best to enhance the beauty of the lawn or garden at home.

Vertical Garden

A vertical garden is a technique used to grow plants on a vertically suspended panel by using hydroponics. These unique structures can either be freestanding or attached to a wall. Vertical gardens have been used since ancient civilizations; many modern vertical gardens can last for decades and give a pop of nature into modern-day business.

HPL Sheets

High Pressure Laminate or HPL, is the direct descendent of the original plastic laminate. … Because phenolic and melamine resins are thermoset plastics, the curing process transforms the resin into plastic by a cross linking process that converts the paper sheets into a single, rigid laminated sheet.

Natural veneers

Over a past few year, manufacturing of artificial veneer, laminates, composite veneers, etc. have replaced Natural Veneers so much that its authenticity is lost. Artificial veneers are made in such a way that it becomes very difficult for home owners or even professionals to differentiate natural and artificial veneers.

Natural veneers being exclusive are expensive and so not all home owners can afford it. There are lower range veneers available in market. The quality certainly will differ from expensive and exclusive natural veneers, but surely are of better quality than the artificial or recon veneers.
